This exciting, newly created role will be reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Affairs & Community Engagement as part of a broader, Corporate Affairs, Brand and Marketing team. Within this team you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment with the opportunity to have a voice and contribute to the business’ success.

About the role
This opportunity will have you engaging with senior stakeholders across the business to create and communicate compelling content using multiple communication platforms while enhancing and protecting GrainCorp’s reputation with its employees, the media and our communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft written and video content across key internal channels in line with our strategy: intranet, team meetings, staff magazine, etc.
  • Write and publish business unit internal newsletters
  • Draft other key corporate communications documents (local media releases, correspondence)
  • Social media content
  • General administration and support on internal events
  • Content generation to support marketing strategy: videos, podcast, harvest guide, branding material, product brochures.

About your experience
You will have proven writing / editing experience and / or Corporate Affairs experience, possibly from a journalistic or agency background. You will have a focus on writing and publishing content. You will be a talented story teller with a genuine tone while also having:

  • Experience in internal communications
  • Excellent written & verbal communications skills
  • Familiarity with online publication and other digital platforms
  • Effective in extracting key information from a geographically dispersed business
