Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced permanent full time Manager Brand and Communications to join the Brand and Communications Group, based in Gladstone.

This is a key management role that is responsible for delivering high-value communications to internal and external audiences and to build a strong, aligned brand identity. This role will define and implement the communication strategy and plan to increase the understanding of business operations, aligning to the strategy and priorities of Council, supporting cultural change, reinforcing employee engagement and enhancing performance and brand identity.

About you

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Communications (or related discipline) and/or significant industry experience in a senior role in communications, marketing or public relations. 
  2. High level written and verbal communication skills along with significant organisational and project management experience. 
  3. Demonstrated experience in managing digital platforms, social media, websites, video production, and other digital assets.  
  4. Demonstrated experience in providing advice on public relations strategies and public awareness campaigns. 
  5. Creative development experience, including graphic design and knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite software (i.e. Adobe InDesign). 
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
  7. Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
