The Brisbane Club is one of Queensland’s premier clubs established in 1903 and is situated in the heart of the CBD in a contemporary setting in the Brisbane Club Tower.

With 2,200 members, the Club’s facilities and services cater to the professional and social interests of Members and guests. The Club is continually progressive in its membership profile and demographics with equality and diversity of cultures key points of difference. The Club has a rapidly growing young executive membership consisting of the aspiring and inspiring leaders of tomorrow.

An exciting new opportunity has recently become available to join our team. We are looking for an enthusiastic marketing and events professional to assist in driving member engagement on a full-time basis.

You will have a passion for events, member engagement and marketing communications, with the willingness to work with and support all areas of the business.
 

As the Member Engagement Coordinator, you will be passionate about understanding how our Rewards can benefit our members, whom we value the most, we provide Member exclusive offers and experiences, and create a two-way conversation with our Members via innovative digital, direct and content marketing tactics.


Position Objective

Working within the Membership, Marketing and Events team and under the guidance of our Membership, Marketing & Events Manager, your role will be to coordinate and support the development and delivery of targeted marketing and communications initiatives aligned to the business plan and more specifically the member engagement strategy, to drive membership growth and retention. 

The key success measure will be member satisfaction, event attendance and membership levels using a fully integrated marketing approach. 

 

Desirable Attributes & Skills

  • Proven success in delivering exceptional customer service

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Experience with Adobe Suite and website content management systems

  • Ability to maintain and develop brand image and reputation

  • Experience activating tactics for owned and paid integrated marketing channel mix including content development, activation of social media, email, SMS and website.

  • Experience in the delivery of events in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Effective time management and ability to work in teams and autonomously

  • Experience in digital display, mobile and/or email advertising

  • Experience in Loyalty marketing or within a membership organisation

  • Experience in customer lifecycle management, with proven ability to impact customer value

  • Experience in creating and developing and leading successful strategies and contact plans to budget.

  • Well-developed commercial acumen and proven ability to develop accurate business cases and activity plans that met or exceeds revenue/cost hurdles.

A tertiary level qualification in communications, marketing, business or similar would be considered an advantage, but is not essential. This role would be best suited to an early-career professional with an interest in developing their career with an iconic Brisbane member organisation.
