3 month hourly rate contract for experienced PAO3 Communications Manager with well known Department, South ACT
Your new company
This well known and respected large Federal Government Department is responsible for ensuring that the lifestyle and well being of all Australians are maintained and improved through a holistic operational approach.
Due to increasing workloads, they are seeking an experienced PAO3/EL1 Communications Manager to lead a small team and deliver high quality project outcomes.
Your new role
In this role you'll be responsible for liaising with internal client areas as well as the Minister’s Office predominantly, being responsible for, but not limited to;
- Managing media enquiries
- Preparing a range of communication materials such as speeches, talking points and media releases
- Developing communication strategy
- Engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to gain greater research understanding and identify common and pressing trends
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience working in a hands on media and communications role, ideally within government, will ensure that you hit the ground running in this fast paced and rewarding role.
You'll also need to demonstrate an eye for detail, ability to work with and manage people as well as work under pressure in a highly scrutinised communications area.
Formal qualifications in communications, media, public relations or any other related fields will be highly regarded.
