The Direct Marketing Specialist is responsible for development and delivery of a customer lifecycle marketing plan, inclusive of direct communications such as eMarketing, nurture programs and ensuring the high revenue / high opportunity customer segments are continually engaged and front of mind.

Intellectual curiosity, attention to detail and results driven approach with strong personal initiative are essential to this role. You will have access to numerous large data sets and endless challenging problems to solve, so the ability and desire to solve complex problems and to discern meaningful insights is a requirement for this role.

 

Key duties & responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and manage a customer lifecycle marketing plan in line with available data and existing capabilities of the e-marketing, CMS and CRM platforms taking into account markets, customer segments and product categories.
  • Develop a process map with customer touch points over their lifecycle to identify relevant trigger points and create an automated marketing program which you will continually improve through regular analysis of data outputs and business requirements.
  • Access, integrate, analyse and interpret customer, marketing and financial data for the purpose of, among other things, audience segmentation, enhanced automation, campaign enhancement, budget allocation, SEO, CRO and business reporting.
  • Carry out keyword analysis of Coates Hire's equipment, services and training solutions to support the Content Marketing Specialist and determine allocation of SEM budgets.
  • Carry out analysis of user data and user journey mapping to identify issues and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Support the Digital Marketing Manager in data improvement initiatives, website maintenance and enhancement.
  • Provide regular insights and reporting of website performance to marketing team members as required for campaigns and other marketing activities.
  • Identify gaps in data quality and/or availability and work with internal stakeholders to improve data integrity and integrate unconnected data sets to enhance the effectiveness of your direct marketing activities and your ability provide insights and reporting.
  • Provide regular insights and structured reporting which will enable the business to make data led decisions and track the effectiveness of the marketing program.
  • Work with the Content Marketing Specialist to develop and manage the process for e-marketing; drive the e-marketing program through the deployment of email marketing campaigns; work across functions with relevant teams to deliver campaigns to agreed production schedule.
  • Create custom html emails for various campaigns and marketing initiatives.

 

Skills & Expertise:

 

In addition to 3-5 years' experience in a similar role and your tertiary qualifications in either marketing, data science or commerce, to be successful in this role you will need strong communication skills and presentation skills. You must be able to simply and persuasively communicate business insights and intelligence to team members and other stakeholders within the business.

Strong collaborative/team work skills that encourage team partnership and promote enthusiasm are a must for this role; As well as the ability to influence and collaborate across various functional groups including sales, marketing, pricing, operations, customer service centres, careers and IT. Keeping on top of ever changing digital platforms and their usefulness to Coates Hire will also be vital. This role requires a technical skillset and you'll be supported and expected to develop your abilities further. You must have a working knowledge of Google Analytics, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, SEO, SEM, data analysis, an ability work with data quickly and be able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever changing environment with a high capacity to multi-task and handle tight deadlines on a daily basis.
