International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) is an international member association which promotes and improves the community and stakeholder engagement profession globally - incorporating individuals, governments, institutions and other entities that affect the public interest.

The Australasian Affiliate, IAP2 Australasia serves the needs of over 6,000 members throughout Australia and New Zealand and is the fastest growing affiliate member of the global IAP2 Federation.

On behalf of IAP2 Australasia, we are looking for a values-driven, collaborative Membership Relations Manager to join our team who will work directly with the CEO.

Note: This is a work from home position.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Increasing membership value
  • Promote In-House training to grow membership and promote other IAP2 training
  • Event management through supporting the Marketing Manager with key events
  • Supporting the CEO with ambassador & partnership programmes
  • Business planning, reporting and financial administration
  • Maintain international, Australian and New Zealand networks
  • Team management for the Membership Relationships team

Note: We have a dispersed workforce, therefore this role can be located anywhere on the east coast of Australia.

This is a central role within IAP2 Australasia and is responsible for growing our membership, developing and implementing strategies to increase and retain memberships and promoting in house training. This is a hands-on role with a large aspect of team and membership management. You will be working closely with the Marketing Manager on key membership events, in addition the role will support the CEO and the Board with the Ambassador and Partnership Programmes.

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in relationship management, experience working in training or membership-based organisations, excellent networking skills, solid public speaking skills as well as a sound experience of project planning and management.

In addition, the ideal candidate will come from an engagement and communication background, is able to coach and mentor others and has strong oral and written skills. An ability to influence and work in a collaborative environment, will be highly regarded. It is essential you will be available for travel throughout Australia and New Zealand as required.
