Job tasks & responsibilities:

The Digital Marketing Specialist' primary responsibilities are to work with the team in order to develop and execute accurate and efficient digital marketing strategies in line with the clients' objectives. It will also be imperative for you to continually develop your skills and technical knowledge across a continuously evolving digital marketing landscape to stay ahead of the curve. 

As such be prepared to:

  • Maintain broad-based Digital Marketing knowledge - you will be called upon often for advice and suggestions on many digital marketing topics and channels.
  • Proactively provide insight, guidance and internal training on the digital landscape, updates etc.
  • Conduct research on clients products and services in comparison to their competitors;
  • Manage end-to-end digital media campaigns and seek new areas of opportunity through research and analysis, campaign strategy, ad copy creation, bid management, CPA optimisation, and landing page testing.
  • Manage and maintain all aspects of Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) including tracking/togging implementation, dashboards and custom reports.
  • Deliver projects and tasks within required timeframes;
  • Develop Digital Marketing strategies to meet client goals;
  • Liaise with other Digital Specialists to collectively deliver on strategy
  • Personally execute Digital Marketing strategies thoroughly;
  • Issue quality and comprehensively written briefs on strategies that can be executed by both internal and external team members
  • Simplify the reporting process by creating dashboards, generic reports and presentations for management.
  • Regularly attend client facing and pitch meetings where you will be confident in;
  • Demonstrating deep knowledge of the digital market industry, products and related services;
  • Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of agency services and pricing;
  • Drive innovation and implement testing strategies to continually uncover optimisation levers, enhance learning, and improve performance.
  • Apply the necessary technical skills as the lead in our quarterly intern program. 

Skills and experience

  • Deep knowledge of Digital Marketing principles and channels
  • A minimum of 3 years experience working with the Google Marketing Suite of products
  • A solid foundation in marketing metrics and reporting up insights to a different level of audience
  • Exceptional knowledge of Google AdWords, Google Analytics, Data Studio, SEO and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Basic HTML/programming skills are required
  • Previous Client management experience will be beneficial
  • Strong technical knowledge including performing across site technical audits and troubleshooting, site architecture, sitemaps, etc.
  • Experience with relevant marketing tools required to execute a strategy (Ahrefs, SEMRush, Majestic, Google Search Console, Keyword Planner tool etc.)
  • Good CMS knowledge (WordPress, Magento, Neto)
  • Proven track record of successful digital marketing strategy development and implementation.

Job benefits and perks

The Digital Marketing Specialist should be locally based, preferably within 10-15klm from Sumner Park. This is a full-time role, it is in-house and will not be outsourced. The successful applicant will work in a fun and fast-paced environment with individuals all working to deliver great results for our clients. On-site parking is available.
