About the opportunity:

The Head of Product Marketing is responsible for driving industry leading product marketing initiatives for Challenger Life to improve competitive position, penetrate target markets, and deliver strong adviser experiences.

The role will require you to have strong marketing automation experience where you will design and execute highly effective awareness and demand generation programs utilising the marketing technology stack.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop strong senior level relationships across product and sales to build successful demand generation programs that will contribute to the overall sales targets 
  • Working closely with the General Manager, Brand & Online Marketing, and the Analytics & Insights function to sustain and enhance the Challenger brand in retirement incomes across relevant products and channels. This will include contributing into the broader Marketing strategic plan to support Challenger’s sales targets 
  • In close consultation with the Head of Retail, grow sales pipeline by creating, executing and leading the demand generation strategy leveraging best practice techniques and tools to deliver highly qualified marketing leads that will contribute to sales targets 
  • Build and lead digital skills development and knowledge within the team
  • Educate and lead the broader business on how awareness, demand generation and lead nurturing campaigns can help drive maximum engagement with advisers 
  • Strategic oversight of Challenger’s marketing stack and other integrated systems 
  • Creation and documentation of best practices and process within the team with regards to maintenance of campaigns, nurture programs, lead scoring, data maintenance and integrity 
  • Segment and leverage the sales and marketing database for greater campaign efficiency and effectiveness.

Skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of experience executing and measuring lead generation marketing programs that includes B2B, tech and/or other environments.
  • Retail financial services experience with superannuation and pensions / retirement including financial advice distribution advantageous
  • Proven track record and deep hands-on experience in demand generation campaigns and tactics (email marketing, inbound marketing, paid search & social, paid advertising, content syndication) and marketing ops (lead management, marketing automation, CRM, marketing technologies, reporting and analytics). 
  • Strong track record in CX design and execution, particularly in digital channels, the ability to design and execute programs that will drive digital adoption and engagement 
  • Proven experience delivering marketing product support and education throughout the sales cycle, ensuring that we continuously optimise our programs and from awareness and consideration to point of recommendation and usage 
  • You will have a track record in delivering measurable results that build brands, improves the CX and deliver sound commercial outcomes 
  • Team leadership experience
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Salesforce, Eloqua, Sitecore advantageous
