About the business

The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) is a specialist medical college whose core activities involve the development, implementation and coordination of education, training and recertification programs for specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology in Australia and New Zealand, as well as other medical practitioners and health professionals involved in women's healthcare.

The Role:

Assist in the coordination and delivery of College events including the Annual Scientific Conference (ASM) and other events, workshops and conferences held in Australia and New Zealand as required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the day-to-day operations of the organisation of the ASM.
  • Administering a marketing and promotional strategy for the ASM.
  • Assisting in the selection, notification to authors and presentation of abstracts at ASM
  • Coordinating the development of the ASM website and App.
  • Liaising with the Publications and Communications Coordinator and Marketing and Communications Manager for the production and distribution of the ASM collateral.
  • Coordinating the College ceremonies and award presentations held during the ASM and extend invitations to guests on behalf of the Organising Committee and the RANZCOG President.
  • Feedback surveys and reports

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Demonstrated experience in organising and coordinating events.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills particularly in regard to developing  communication materials, report writing and correspondence.
  • High level of self-motivation, initiative, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders, individuals and groups.
  • Excellent grammar, proof reading and editing skills.
  • Excellent administrative skills, particularly with respect to accuracy and detail.
  • High level computer literacy and personal computer application experience.
