About the role

Based in Nunawading and reporting to the National Product Manager, the role is critical in ensuring the objective of the Merchandise Department are supported as well as the initiatives that drive the business for all category strategies. The role will also assist with any day to day functions of the Merchandise Team as directed by the Product Category Manager, National Product Manager and / or General Manager Merchandise.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance and information to PCMs to help with the execution of the category business plans to include tasks such as :
    • Obtaining competitor intelligence on ranging and pricing 
    • Providing PCMs with data and reports to help with their decision making
    • Communication with key internal stakeholders – marketing, sales, retail operations
    • Communication with store and supplier network
    • Attend relevant supplier meetings
    • Ranging and stockfile information
    • Stockfile information and Warehouse inventory data 
    • Maintenance of Supplier Agreements
  • Assist PCM with catalogue promotional process to include tasks such as:
    • Develop catalogue mud map and coordinate proof reading process
    • Develop and coordinate catalogue order notes process
    • Supplier communication for product pricing and availability confirmation
    • Source all required product information and images
    • Prepare allocation spreadsheet for review with GM Merchandise
    • Communicate with Stockfile Manager catalogue completion in preparation for catalogue load to be completed and communciated
    • Liase with Category Analyst to provide relevant reports to support promotional campaign
    • Responsible for the coordination of milestones in the catalogue promotion process in accordance with the critical path

  Key skills required:

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Previous experience working within a Merchandise team preferred
  • Sound computer skills with Microsoft Office for Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
