A Melbourne based technology business are looking for a passionate and goal orientated SEO/SEM Specialist to join the team.

This role offers the opportunity to lead their paid acquisition efforts in multiple regions. You will take ownership of building the company's paid search acquisition strategy, identifying and optimizing strategic growth levers across paid search, display re marketing, and testing and vetting new opportunities for efficiency and efficacy.
It is also the opportunity to work in an amazing office environment!

You will primarily focus on buying and optimising search and display ads with Google AdWords and other search platforms across many different countries and products, while increasing volume and reducing cost per transaction. In addition, you will be managing performance metrics and budget tracking while ensuring benchmarks are established, lessons are learned and growth opportunities capitalised. This role will also set the SEO strategy and work with Product, Engineering and Marketing to execute.
With an exceptional understanding of SEO/SEM  best practices, and search trends, this role will ensure all product development is optimised from an SEO perspective, in addition to developing and leading specific SEO strategies.

Success in this role means being at the intersection of paid marketing and innovation. The ideal candidate for this position will be analytical, intellectually curious, a great communicator, and keen to be hands-on.


The role involves:
  • Creating strategies to improve organic search ranking for clients and as a result maximising ROI
  • Attracting the clients target audience by prioritising keywords
  • Analysing the SEO statistics and measuring redirects, click rate etc
  • Communicating effectively with clients and team members on project developments and timelines
  • Developing strong relationships with developers and marketing teams to ensure best practise in regards to coding and campaigns relating to SEO
  • Keeping on top of latest SEO trends and technologies
The role requires:

  • Over 5 years experience in SEO and SEM
  • Experience with various keyword tools such as WordTracker etc
  • Experience working with CMS and building content 
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • PPC knowledge
  • Experience of analytics and web statistics 
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of global ad platforms (Google, Bing, etc.)
  • Experience in remarketing a strong plus
  • Strong experience in managing keywords across a company with various business lines
  • Strong web development fluency
  • Strong understanding of best SEO practices, search engine trends, and search engine algorithms
