This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to every area of consumer analytics, as this position plays an integral role in providing support to the Marketing and Category teams across all marketing projects, campaigns and initiatives.  We are looking for a passionate analyst who has the ability to draw data and not only analyse, but paint a picture of our consumers, who they are,what they want and how we are best able to meet their expectations at every opportunity. 

You will be working with a vibrant team and your ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally, will prove invaluable.  You will act as the key support person with the Consumer Insights Manager in improving marketing capability, providing insights into brand investment and brand planning. If you feel this sounds like the role for you, come join this hard-working, close-knit team who have fun whilst delivering some of Australia's biggest spirit brands to the country.

Responsibilities

  • To aid in the development of consumer and shopper insights for the Australian and New Zealand business.
  • To manage the Roy Morgan account.
  • To maximise the use of other external data sources (e.g. IWSR) to collate and efficiently disseminate value add insights.
  • To co-ordinate research projects in the most effective and efficient way.
  • To help inform the annual portfolio and brand planning process.
  • To help increase the insights and research capability of the Beam marketing team.
  • To work collaboratively across marketing, category and commercial teams to ensure synergy in all data resources available to the business (e.g. Aztec)
  • To build best practice through the development of tools and templates that will facilitate the insight generation and integration process.
  • To build a relationship with insights teams within Beam Suntory & CCA leveraging the information sources and insights tools currently available

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 3 years FMCG insights experience, preferably in beverages
  • University Degree qualified, probably majoring in marketing, business psychology
  • Ideally experienced in marketing or research agency organization
  • Strong numeracy skills and attention to detail in order to work with large datasets
  • Ability to analyse and report data and translate in a meaningful way
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in using trade data and trade data software packages (e.g. Aztec Temple)
  • Highly proficient in syndicated research software (e.g. Roy Morgan ASTEROID)
