With a bright and exciting future ahead of us, we are searching for an Trade Strategy Manager to join our high performing Health Trade Strategy Team. 

 

The Trade Strategy Manager reports to the Head of Trade Marketing and is based in our brand new, state of the art offices in Sydney's CBD at World Square

 

This role is responsible in leading the local trade marketing & channel strategy for a leading "Powerbrand" with an exciting innovation pipeline. This is a high profile and highly strategic role which will have you play a critical role in the reshaping and go to market strategy for key pillars across the portfolio

 

  • Be responsible for the achievement of financial and market share targets for your brand in the Australian market
  • Develop and execute the Channel and 4Ps strategy for your brand identifying KPIs and activation plans by store format
  • Work closely with the brand team to develop and execute consumer and trade marketing plans for your brand
  • Co-own the forecasting process for your brand with particular focus on the customer/channel, including tracking of 4Ps by store format, outlook for next 12 months and gap filling initiatives
  • Effectively communicate to the sales team to ensure Go-To-Market excellence
  • Work with brand team to execute and "amplify" with scale and excellence new product and business development plans in line with area guidelines / toolkits
  • Conducts detailed Financial Modelling and ROI analysis to support 4P strategy/implementation and continuous improvement
  • Support the Sales team in development & presentation of customer strategy & review presentations
  • Identify key shopper insights and leverage them into Brand Plan, Category Development and Channel Strategy for your brand

 

Is this you?

  • Minimum Tertiary Qualifications of a Bachelor's degree in a commercial subject
  • Approx. 4-5 years proven track record / sales experience with key international or local retailers or FMCG companies
  • Trade Marketing experience with a blue chip fast moving consumer goods company
  • Shopper Insights or National Account Management experience not essential but preferred/ advantageous
  • Experience in influencing and engaging key figures in customer organisations
  • Results oriented, entrepreneurial & self-motivating
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong working relationships and influencing customers and internal teams
  • Strong commercial understanding of business issues / opportunities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral (in English)
  • Strong understanding of sales and marketing strategy and planning issues
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation
  • Strong sense of urgency and achievement
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time   
  • Financial skills, P&L understanding
