Aussie Forklift Hire is a fast growing Sydney based Forklift Hire company, established for over 12 years in Peakhurst. We specialise in forklift hire, sales, purchasing, lease and fleet management. We have a large range of late model forklifts and cannot keep up with the demand.
Aussie Forklift Hire has been built from the ground up by the current owner, a ex-Qantas Engineer, who takes pride in the quality and service of the business and the fleet of the forklifts to a similar standard. About the role:
As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for delivering excellent service to our customers on a variety of material handling equipment including breakdowns, fault finding and servicing on our hire fleet.
You will be based out of your company provided vehicle where you will be in charge of servicing and repairing forklifts. As a forklift mechanic this will include working on all mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components. Therefore you will have a good understanding of fault finding and repairs on the above.
About you:

Trade Qualified Mechanic (Forklift / Diesel / Heavy Vehicle)

Minimum 5 years experience including servicing and diagnostics

Solid understanding of diesels, electrical and hydraulics

You will be able to complete all paperwork relating to the completion of jobs, including timesheets, service reports and other required information

Sufficient Computer Skills

You will have a current Drivers Licence and Forklift Licence

You will have a strong commitment to safe work practices and good communication skills.

You will be no stranger to working in a fast paced environment to meet changing deadlines and enjoy working in a team environment.

You will have a strong work ethic and be self motivated with a well developed mechanical aptitude and good time management skills.

You have a can-do attitude and a belief that you are capable of developing, maintaining and growing business relationships

Experience working on Toyota, Crown and Manitou Forklifts is desirable
What’s on offer?

Starting hourly rate will be $35-40 p/h + Superannuation full time based on experience
