West Coast Marble & Granite is a Wangara based company which delivers the quality craftsmanship that comes with over 15 years of experience in the industry. We manufacture, supply and install kitchen benchtops, vanity tops, staircases and wall cladding from granite marble or reconstituted stone for domestic and commercial applications. All our products are factory direct, and are available in natural stone or colours to complement your decor.
About the role:
- studying drawings and specifications to determine suitable material, method and sequence of operations and machine setting
- diagnosis faults and performing operational maintenance of machines and overhauling and repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment
- setting stops and other controls on machining tools, setting and prescribed cutting and shaping tools
- maintaining and installing pumps kitchen bench tops, vanity tops, staircases and wall cladding
- setting up and operating machines such as a COMANDULLI, CNC BRETON, GMM GRAVELLONA
- inspecting and testing machinery and equipment
- hand polishing and grinding
- interpreting templates and reading plans
About you
The ideal candidates for the above positions will have:
- Trade or relevant qualification
- 2+ years experience in setting up and operating Comandulli, CNC Breton and GMM Gravellona machines
- Previous experience working with engineered stone, marble and granite
- An eye for detail and show pride in work
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Positive can do attitude
- High regard for safety
- Knowledge how to interpret kitchen bench top plans
- Forklift licence (preferable but not essential)
- Excellent communication (written, verbal and listening).
- Flexible approach to problem solving to innovatively resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Exceptional time management and organisational skills for prioritising their own workload and meeting conflicting deadlines in a busy and demanding environment.
- A current manual driver’s licence with clean record.
- The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
