Detail information about job Fellowship and Operations Manager. Terms and conditions vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fellowship and Operations Manager to play a key role in operationalising strategic plans and policies for the newly established improvement research institute.

Funded by the Health Foundation, the improvement research institute has a remit to advance research into how to improve quality and safety of patient care. Through collaborative partnerships across the UK and internationally, the Institute's mission is to create an enabling infrastructure for the NHS to become the world's largest producer of systematic learning about how to improve healthcare, and to establish improvement research as a leading academic field.

Working closely with and reporting to the Deputy Director, the Fellowship and Operations Manager will have operational responsibility for delivering the institute's national Fellowship programme and will lead several administrative functions (governance, reporting, estates, health and safety). The post-holder will design, set-up and implement systems and processes for the successful delivery of administrative functions, making extensive use of sound workflow principles (supported by software where appropriate). They will also support the Deputy Director to manage the governance of the institute, playing a critical external-facing role with the Health Foundation. To ensure success in this role, the post-holder must have the ability and nuance to liaise with senior members of the University, funders, the NHS and national and international organisations as well as actual and potential applicants to the institute's fellowship scheme.

Candidates must have a degree level education or equivalent, with significant experience of strategic planning and successful project management. You will have excellent organisational and people management skills and the ability to work on your own initiative, prioritise work and keep to tight deadlines.

Funds are available until 31st March 2022.

The post holder will be based at the Improvement Research Institute, Cambridge Biomedical Campus, Cambridge CB2 OAH (approximately 2 miles south of city centre).
