Our Research and Enterprise department is seeking to appoint a dynamic Research Data Quality and Reporting Officer. As part of the Research Grants Support Team, you will have individual responsibility for managing, coordinating and delivering timely and accurate management information reports relating to research applications and awards. This includes managing data requests relating to freedom of information requests and ad hoc research information activity data reports. You will ensure data information service provided is seamless, coherent and fit for purpose.
As part of the Team and working to a set of agreed operating principles, you will also provide high level administrative skills and deliver an efficient research support service in the bidding for and setting up of public sector research grants including provide guidance for RED colleagues and academic and professional services colleagues and supporting the workings of the Research Infrastructure Fund.
To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience), have experience of providing reports or management information to stakeholders and experience of manipulating and interrogating large data sets. It is important that you have effective oral and written skills in order to communicate effectively with staff and other colleagues and are able to present data in an accurate and highly informative style tailored to different audiences.
