At UEL, we pride ourselves on the real-world relevance of our courses and research and the impact we are making in our east London community and the wider world. We are an open and inclusive university that is focused on transforming the lives of our students. Our corporate plan sets out an ambitious agenda for our future success which focuses on the delivery of high-quality teaching and learning and excellence in research. UEL has almost doubled its output of world-leading research in recent years and 94 per cent of the research UEL submitted to the Research Excellence Framework 2014 was deemed to be of an at least internationally-recognised level. In the last two years, we’ve risen 79 places in the National Student Survey league table, and we achieved our highest ever student satisfaction score in 2017.

We are seeking a new colleague who is passionate about developing partnerships in higher education and will thrive on the challenge to grow UEL’s academic portfolio. As Academic Partnerships Development Officer you will have considerable business development and interpersonal skills to build, manage and grow profitable partnerships for the university.

You will lead and support various partnership arrangements along with developing regional expertise for UK and international partnerships. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure high quality customer service and engagement for effective development of partnerships. You will support other types of arrangements particularly with regard to international partners; providing business planning and operational advice and assistance.

Educated to degree level, you will have strong influencing skills and a track record of delivering success through setting up UK and overseas academic collaborative partnerships. You must also have an understanding of UK Higher Education Quality Assurance processes related to the set up and establishment of collaborative partnerships.

The University of East London offers a diverse, creative and supportive working environment, and a strong commitment to your ongoing personal development.
