The main purpose of this role is to implement exceptional and professional learning and development solutions to successfully deliver transformational outcomes within agreed timescales and to the required standard.
Accountable for delivering exceptionally innovative, professional and aspirational training to all levels of customers.
Accountable for professionally developing and implementing the L&D implementation plan to the agreed quality and timescales. Responsible for reviewing progress and in partnership with stakeholders agreeing alternative actions if required.
In partnership with stakeholders and HR colleagues conduct training and learning needs analysis and develop and implement local learning plans, enabling the university to deliver its ambitious outcomes.
Design, deliver and evaluate training and facilitation solutions that are impactful, on time and to the required standard, delivering quality outcomes in line with the university’s vision.
Using a coaching style of leadership enable managers to have clear and straightforward conversations with people about their strengths, development needs and career aspirations, leading to the formulation of personal development plans which drive performance.
Measure the value of L&D activity against organisational outcomes, developing and implementing meaningful MI, which will drive a continuous improvement in performance to demonstrate return on investment.
Accountable for the management of third party providers ensuring delivery of quality solutions against agreed standards utilising customer feedback and business MI to evaluate success.
Deliver successful outcomes through people, supporting, developing and challenging teams/colleagues to succeed. Accountable for providing clarity, contributing and helping to create a culture that motivates others to be innovative, outcome focussed and to deliver growth.
Be outward looking and future focussed, horizon scanning and using professional networks to identify trends and innovative approaches that will enable the university’s 2020 vision
Accountable for the line management of colleagues as expected to ensure the delivery of an efficient, professional and customer focussed service.
Responsible for working with HR colleagues, leaders and customers to develop shared insights, priorities and activities as part of the organisational plan and strategy
