Have you heard about the Engineering Doctorate? (EngD)
Materials solutions for electric vehicle brakes
We have opportunities for bright and enthusiastic individuals with our EngD programme. You’ll be based primarily at the sponsor Jaguar Land Rover in Gaydon Warwicks. You’ll look at the corrosion and corrosion product mechanisms, as well as exploring alternative material systems, with a view to the development of new brake systems for electric cars. At the University you will attend events such as scientific and non scientific short courses, meetings, the annual conference, and you will use our excellent characterisation facilities.
You’ll need to have a good undergraduate degree (first or upper-second class honours as a minimum), or a Masters degree at merit or above, in a subject with some physical sciences content; ideally a mechanical/automotive engineer or related engineering discipline, with a good knowledge of materials science, is required.
