The Opportunity

As the Accounts Assistant you will be part of busy and dynamic finance team where you will have the chance to challenge yourself and further develop your accounting knowledge through multi-site operations spanning the South Island.

Initially this role with be transactional focused, however the bigger picture would see you being mentored and developed, as the individual coming into this role will have an introduction to complex accounting work.

This is an excellent opportunity to get exposure to working within a leading NZX Listed business and have the chance to progress your career over the medium term, working with established finance professionals.

The Role

With the finance team expanding, the need for a hands-on Accounts Assistant is needing to come on board and join this thriving and growing business.

This will be a varied role but some of the key duties will include;

  • Processing high volume supplier reconciliations for multiple business units
  • Scheduling weekly, fortnightly and monthly payments for suppliers
  • Bank cashflows
  • Reconciling of statements
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Communicating with internal and external parties to resolve any queries



Your Profile

  • 3+ years’ experience in an Accounts Admin / Assistant role
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Able to build rapport with non-finance professionals
  • Good systems knowledge and experience using accounting packages and MS Office (Excel)
  • Great work ethic and is self-motivated
  • Have experience working in a similar role and wanting career progression
