(approx 25 hours per week)

• The hours are 9am–3pm five days a week (some flexibility regarding times) in our Albany Office.

The position reports to the Company Finance Manager.

It involves taking ownership of the company's routine finance function involving multiple entities including international subsidiaries.

The candidate must:

• Be a Qualified Chartered Accountant
• Have a sound working knowledge of MYOB and QuickBooks;
• Have a sound knowledge of the New Zealand GST requirements;
• At least four years' post qualification experience;
• Be eligible to work in NZ.

Key Responsibilities include;

• Preparation of GST returns
• Preparation of monthly accounts including detailed work papers;
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls;
• Ad hoc projects, modelling and budgets as required;
• Statutory reporting duties as required
• Liaising with other team members locally and overseas
• Management of finance admin team (1 staff member in NZ);
• Assisting with monthly processing when required (low volume, high value environment requiring attention to detail).

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Ability to demonstrate an understanding of processes and controls.
• Highly effective oral and written communication skills;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to multitask and to work to deadlines;
• A highly organised and methodical approach to work;
• Ability to use initiative and problem solving skills;
• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
