We are looking to fill a position of Quality Control Officer in our manufacturing facility in East Tamaki.  We are looking for someone who will ensure the quality of our locally manufactured products through sampling and testing to specifications, as well as ensuring accurate documentation and complying with product release procedures on our late shift.

Reporting to the QA/QC Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Filing and maintaining batch documentation for production;
  • Checking batch documents for the correct expiry and pack size before handover to the Production team;
  • Conducting preoperative line checks on batch by batch basis;
  • Calibrate equipment in the laboratory daily;
  • Calculate active ingredients and minerals to be added to the batch;
  • Raw material and batch volume checks;
  • Physical testing of batches;
  • Assisting in the investigation of any out of specification of products;
  • Liaising with contract laboratories regarding sample testing;
  • Sampling;
  • Issuing and maintain label quality;
  • Updating and maintaining quality documentation as required for the role;
  • Working in accordance with the principles of GMP;
  • Raising OOT/OOS and deviation forms;
  • Support process improvement initiatives;

The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in chemistry and/or science;
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite of products;
  • Experience in GMP;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ in a quality control role;
  • Analytical and numerical skills;
  • A good command of written and spoken English is essential.
