Growing and Innovative property company looking for a passionate property manager to manage a varied portfolio.

We are a growing and innovative property company. Directing and advising on the management of our clients' property portfolios is a key part of our business. With our sister companies, we are specialists in advice, acquisition and directing of clients' investment portfolios.  We pride ourselves in offering a property management service that goes beyond the basics to takes a pro-active and strategic approach to maximising the performance of our clients' portfolios.

We currently require a full time property manager to be a key player in our client relationships, and manage a residential portfolio, comprising properties across Auckland.

We are looking for a team player to be part of a fun, supportive team of talented team members with a lot of industry knowledge and experience.  Previous property management experience is required.

The role includes:

  • Tenant Selection and letting of properties
  • Scheduling and conducting quarterly inspections at all properties
  • Arranging and co-ordinating repairs and maintenance as required.
  • Monitoring receipt of rent payments, follow up and recovery of rent arrears
  • Conducting regular rent reviews
  • Dealing with tenant and owner correspondence and queries
  • Making recommendations to owners on further improvements to their properties to optimise their investment.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to easily build and maintain effective relationships across a wide range of people. You will also be able to demonstrate competence in your written communication skills, and have the ability to resolve issues and meet expectations with an efficient yet professional approach.

Every day in property management is different and varied. You will need to thrive on its high level of responsiveness, be able to work under pressure and prioritise to deadlines.  To succeed in meeting the challenges of managing our clients' properties you will need to have an energetic and 'can do' attitude. When you put your feet under the desk, you will also pride yourself in having strong admin skills. Good computer skills and the ability to learn new applications quickly is a must.  Chinese language skills would also be an advantage but are not absolutely necessary.

This role is based in our Parnell offices.  A car and carpark is provided.

Applicants must have at least 3 years work experience in NZ/Australia and hold a NZ drivers licence.
