KITCHEN PORTER - CASUAL
Te Papa stands proud as an iconic national building housing the treasures of the nation and is a vibrant destination for both national and international visitors.
Te Papa is seeking enthusiastic, hygiene focused individuals who enjoy working in a close-knit team in a fast paced environment, to join our kitchen team in these key operational support roles. You will be able to complete deep cleaning tasks and lift/carry kitchen items and equipment. You will have attention to detail and take pride in the level of hygiene and cleanliness that you provide.
Ideally you will have;
• The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Basic food preparation and storage knowledge including HACCP principles
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen or catering operation
• Attention to detail and a good understanding of hygiene and cleaning practices
• The ability to work a flexible roster over a 7 day period, as we are open 364 days each year
