We seek an experienced retail or hospitality manager with outstanding skills in people management and have the ability to motivate and excite a team every day. The role is about growing the business as well as improving the financial returns of the business through improved planning, rostering and budgetary disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Maximize sales and profitability by sourcing, identifying and delivering on opportunities for growth.
• Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Function and event management co-ordination between client, FOH and BOH
• Understanding financials, cash ups and reconciling
• Bar stock monitoring and ordering
• Ensuring labour costs are at agreed levels. Rostering.
• Develop and maintain both any/all PR and our social media program
• Maintain Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
• Co-ordinate and Manage our Human Resources (e.g. Employment Agreements, Employee Induction etc.)
• Assist with the management of productivity, recruitment, training and development of the team
• General office admin/email enquiries.

The person

• Excellent interpersonal/communication and negotiation skills
• Well presented, ambitious energetic and determined
• Have a genuine love of events and enjoy working with a diverse group
• Be able to demonstrate a proven track record in developing a brand and managing events/functions
• Be flexible, have a positive attitude and be well organised.

Essentially a day time role with free parking working at Auckland's best office!.
