About the business and the role
Five Stags is a Hunting Lodge themed Bar & Restaurant located in the bustling Central Otago township of Cromwell. As Cromwells largest Bar & Restaurant, Five Stags is hugely popular with both locals and tourists and therefore extremely busy throughout the year.
The Bar & Restaurant Manager will manage the day to day operations of this outlet ensuring maximum profitability is achieved whilst again ensuring the highest standard of service is achieved.
If you excel at extremely fast paced customer service, then this position is for you.
Job tasks and responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for all aspects of liquoring licensing compliance as well as gaming laws that go hand in hand with the running of a busy bar & restaurant.
Cost effective rostering in association with other F&B outlets is just part of the jigsaw that makes this role vitality important with high standard of customer service, efficient stock control, staff management and more. The successful applicant will be tasked with ongoing staff training
Weekends, public holidays and split shifts will be required.
Skills and experience
This role is for an experienced Manager who has excelled in running a fast paced Food & Beverage environment previous. A minimum of 3 years experience is essential as is the requirement to hold a current Managers Certificate. This position requires someone who will hit the ground running from day one.

An outgoing personality is certainly an advantage for this role as well as being a team player with other departments that interconnect with the Bar & Restaurant.
