The Company:
Our client, has been New Zealand's leading Employee Assistance Program provider delivering employee support solutions to over 1400 New Zealand businesses, providing services to a wide-range of private and public sector organisations.
A rare opportunity has now become available for an experienced Psychologist to come on board on a Full Time basis in a dual capacity role working as a Psychologist & Relationship Manager based in their Hamilton office.
The Role:
Psychologist (3 Days Per Week)
- To provide personal counselling support to clients & to attend onsite at client organisation sites to provide individual and group support as a result of critical incident situations
- To ensure all counselling support services are provided within the professional standards and ethics as required by their professional associations.
- To ensure all trends & patterns in client presentation are discussed with their Services Manager or the Professional Services Manager where those trends or patterns may have an impact on the client organisation.
- To ensure that all individual clients who present at Level 4 or Level 5 (Impact Level assessment) are discussed with their Services Manager or the Professional Services Manager.
- Working on Short-Term interventions (1-6 sessions – average 3)
- The case load will require good 'generalists skilled I to be able to assist clients facing a variety of workplace and or personal issues – see what is an Employee Assistance Programme
- Some seeking support will be at a higher level of need, while others will require more general support.
Relationship Manager (2 Days Per Week):

Managing accounts, maintaining a long term relationship with accounts and maximising opportunities within them.

Contribute to the organisations ability to remain at the forefront of its core business (the delivery of EAP Programmes).

Key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions.

Writing business plans for all current and opportunity tender business.

Focusing on growing and developing existing customers, together with generating new business.

Play an integral role in new business development and hold responsibility for the effective on-boarding of new customers.

Research and develop new business opportunities within the Region and see that these developments are promoted (where practical) nationally.

Increase the market share through developing new business services.

To ensure that the products and services provided to clients are well implemented, profitable, and at a minimum, meet the agreed and specified quality assurance standards.

To develop and maintain effective client relationships through personal representation and by utilising key negotiation and marketing skills.

To utilise the national database system to develop, and have our professional contractors deliver, training programmes and workshops.

To work with directors to establish budgets and performance targets.

To achieve performance targets assigned.

To provide accurate and timely management reporting.

To provide a service that meets client requirements in terms of implementation and management of human resources consultancy services.

To complete other tasks as directed by the Managing Director from time to time
The Candidate:
- A registered Psychologist, ideally with 5+ years work experience

Need to have a fundamental understanding of H&S Act, with regards to Psychological Services – i.e. duty of care & Performance Management

Need to be extremely well organised – must be strong administratively (including system/technically savvy)

Need to be a 'trusted adviser' so need to be able to educate vs. sell

Must have an enquiring mind … and analytical in problem solving

Must be a confident public speaker (one to many) and able to speak to all levels

Must be able to plan and work independently – great time management / prioritising skills

Strong account management and relationship building skills

Highly self-motivated

Have a high standard of honesty and integrity with a warm and friendly personality

Have empathy for people

Have the ability to keep confidence and to apply a non-judgmental approach

Excellent health and excellent standard of personal presentation suitable for a Corporate environment

Clean and current driver's license
