About the role

Providing support within our central Auckland Residential Rehabilitation Services - you'll work alongside the Service Managers and other Health Professionals to improve the quality of the services we provide. The role includes liaising with clinical teams, mentoring and coaching staff, hands on work with complex clients, goal writing and documentation, analysing information and creative brainstorming.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and compassionate to work in our service.

You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community. You'll use your non judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow.

To be successful you will need to have:

  • registration with a professional body covered by CHPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003
  • a relevant health care degree level qualification
  • a current full Annual Practicing Certificate
  • health sector/social service sector or related experience, working effectively with individuals and family whanau in a complex needs environment
  • the ability to work with and without direct supervision
  • excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • good PC skills with a range of Microsoft Office applications and ability to use electronic client information systems.

It would be advantageous if you also had the following:

  • Experience working in Mental Health, Addictions, Disability or Serious Injury Service
  • Knowledge of community resources and support networks
  • Competency in profession specific assessment and interventions
