Are you a new grad EN/RN who has worked as a Community Support Worker throughout your studies? Or perhaps you are an experienced nurse looking for less responsibility and would like to make a move into the disability sector? Enjoy the satisfaction of working in the community as a casual Nurse for our Community Living service - where we provide 24-hour support in in-home environments for people aged 16 years and over with a physical or intellectual disability.
We are looking for somebody passionate about providing a person-centred approach, who is hands on and looking for a new challenge. You will need to be confident working within your scope of practice without supervision, and competent with full personal cares, administering medication, PEG feeds, sezuire management and tracheostomy cares at a minimum. Our ideal candidate will also have previous experience with intellectual disability and challenging behaviours however this is not essential.
Shifts are rostered, and vary Mon to Sun. We are looking for somebody flexible, adaptable and able to commit to day, night and weekend shifts as required.
Skills, experience & requirements
- Ability to start immediately
- Experience as outlined above
- Current APC
- A valid drivers licence
