Our North Shore based Southern Cross hospital is looking for an experienced and energetic Healthcare Assistant to join their Ward/Day stay team. We have both part-time and full-time positions available.
To be part of the team you will need:
- Previous experience within a healthcare setting (essential), preferably in a hospital environment
- Excellent communication skills and be a team player
- To be flexible/adaptable and to respond positively to the changing needs of the business
- Hold relevant residency status to work in New Zealand
About the role:
You will work as part of a tight knit multi-disciplinary team offering support and assistance as required within the surgical ward environment. As a Healthcare Assistant you will be required to provide assistance as required to Ward/ Day stay staff contributing to the smooth running of the ward department. The role encompasses keeping service areas tidy, restocked and assisting staff and patients to ensure our service is delivered to a high standard. The role requires you to be hands on in the care of surgical patients assisting with showering, mobilising, observation and meals.
