Because of the growth in commercial activity we are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and technically orientated person to join our team as a BMS Engineer. You will be joining a team that shares its knowledge, works together as one and even manages to have fun along the way.

The role involves the following key tasks and duties:

• System engineering including finalising equipment selections and system functional operations
• Project Engineering, Onsite commissioning, development & programming
• Creation of system connection drawings (CAD) and functional descriptions
• Configuration and programming of software along with the creation of system graphics
• Supervision of the system installation and project management work
• Project handover with provision of as built documentation and client training
• Keeping up to date with automation system technology, integration solutions and data networks
• Investigating system faults & OS operating issues
• Ongoing system support, troubleshooting and servicing work

The person we seek must possess the following skills and attributes:

• Previous experience with BMS control systems – specifically in the HVAC industry (minimum 2 years)
• A good practical background in a trade such as Electrical, HVAC, Refrigeration or similar
• Be very proficient with computers, operating systems and software with some understanding of networks
• Strong software programming skills for process control within the HVAC and BMS industries
• Have an understanding of Bacnet / Modbus / KNX

Other skills & attributes you possess, that will help:

• Be able to deal confidently with a wide cross section of individuals and entities
• The ability to absorb technical system/product knowledge
• Have a high standard of written and oral communications
• Be able to problem solve and have a professional approach to work
• A suitable qualification like NZCE or BE is advantageous but not necessary

This is a full-time position based in our Wellington Office – Glover St, Ngauranga, covering the lower half of the North Island, and the upper part of the South Island.

You must be a NZ resident, NZ Citizen OR permitted to work in NZ, to be considered for this role
