Matamata Industrial Machinery Imports Limited (MIMICO) sells, hires and services heavy machinery for the quarrying, mining, contracting, construction, recycling and forestry industries. MIMICO is the New Zealand distributor for Metso Rock Crushers and Screens, Kobelco Excavators, KCM Loaders, Moxy Dump Trucks, CESCO Concrete Mixer Units, ZF Construction Parts & Mixer Drives, Atlas Copco Rock Breakers, and manufacturers of Lamella Portable Waste Water Treatment Plants.
Due to continued growth and a focus on product support, we are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our crushing and screening division in Matamata to service both mobile and fixed plant and equipment. This will involve a mix of both on site servicing and workshop jobs.
Additionally, this role is responsible for the auditing and inspecting of quarry plant and equipment.
To meet the requirements of this role, you will:
- Be a trade qualified Mechanical Engineer or Diesel Mechanic
- Minimum 3 years experience servicing heavy machinery
- Experience with engine, transmission and hydraulic systems
- Familiar with computerised control systems for heavy equipment
- Be flexible to work long hours, nights and weekends as required to meet customer needs
- Possess excellent diagnostic and problem solving abilities
- Structured and disciplined in approach to audit requirements and associated documentation
- Ability to work unsupervised, as well as part of a team
- Have a proven work history which displays high quality workmanship and work ethic
