The company
Our clients’ New Zealand operations have been successfully serving the compressed air and gas equipment needs of New Zealand. They are a world leading provider of industrial productivity solutions.
The role
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be required to fulfil the servicing requirements of our clients’ customers. Therefore, you will require a detailed and practical knowledge of air compressors, coupled with relevant experience servicing reciprocating, screw and diesel portable compressors - which would be highly regarded. In addition, experience with electrical, diesel or refrigeration equipment is highly desirable. This role is available in Wellington, Auckland and Palmerston North.
Experience requirements
This role is critical to the efficient operation of a small focused team with the following skills:
- Extensive mechanical experience
- Compressor maintenance would be an advantage
- Oil free compressor experience would also be an asset and looked upon favourable
- Refrigeration / Electrical experience would be considered advantageous
- Are customer focused
The successful applicant will need to be self-motivated with ability to work without direct supervision and show an Interest in compressed air products, have worked in the field service industry preferably in the compressed air industry, although related industries will be considered. Specialised product training will be provided. Important attributes for this role would also be strong interpersonal and communication skills, good teamwork spirit, self-motivated and goal oriented.
Educational requirements
The successful applicant must have good computer knowledge, have completed a relevant apprenticeship, or have Trade equivalent qualification: Mechanical and/or Electrical, and hold a full New Zealand driver’s licence.
