Our multiple award winning Christchurch printing plant is on the hunt for a self motivated positive "can do" Engineer to assist with the maintenance of our printing equipment.
The plant, prints the Christchurch Press 6 days per week, the Sunday Star Times once a week, and several community papers with a range of commercial print on a weekly schedule. The site is home to a range of modern equipment including a Goss Uniliner double width newspaper press & Ferag mailroom equipment. Conveniently located near the airport, this role won't stay open for long.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that production equipment availability is maximised by the implementation of maintenance activities across all production areas. You will display sound judgement, be able to react quickly, fault find, and be familiar with engineering diagrams.
Ideally you will be a qualified engineer with an industrial background that leaves you familiar with pneumatic controls, motor drive systems along with operating lathes, milling machines and welders.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday with rostered overtime available on a Saturday & Sunday.
