A little about the company
Our client is a rapidly growing business with an Auckland head office and an ever expanding global footprint. Off the back of extensive growth and to keep pace with future anticipated growth, a new role has been created for an experienced Business Analyst / Systems Accountant to join this close knit head office team. Currently based in Penrose, this company is relocating to brand new offices in Parnell in a few months.
A little about the role
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for working across the business to create a series of SQL reports to better track and measure the business and its performance. This will involve extensive liaison with non-finance stakeholders to understand what their requirements are and then working with the existing databases and systems to develop, implement and refine an extensive suite of reporting and KPIs. This is a highly varied role that will see you work across all business units and stakeholders. You will also take the opportunity to implement automations where possible to make work flows easier and more efficient. In the medium term you may also be involved in project managing a systems upgrade of the current GL package FinPower. This is an autonomous role that will add significant value to this growing business and will evolve over time.
A little about you
To be successful in this role, you will have a well developed systems and reporting skill set and be a whiz on SQL and Excel. You will also have extensive experience in accounting packages and, ideally, ERP systems. This role would be an ideal fit for someone who has initially worked in accounting then specialised into working as a Business Analyst / Systems Accountant.
