Here at NZ King Salmon, we're the world's largest producer of King salmon. You've probably heard of (or even better, tasted) Ōra King, Regal, and Southern Ocean salmon - some of the finest across the globe. We are a progressive, customer orientated organisation with a passion for quality and sustainability in our environment.
We now have opportunities for trade qualified engineers to join our experienced Marlborough based team. Reporting to the Engineering team leader, you will undertake day-to-day maintenance with a focus on minimising downtime, maximising efficiency; and health and safety practices.
We are looking for people with good all-round mechanical, fabrication and engine servicing skills who are customer focused, to help maintain our plant and equipment in our sea farm operations.
The ideal candidate will also have the following:
- Advanced trade certificate qualification
- Ability to provide both hands on repairs, and coordination of contractors
- Ability to develop, plan and co-ordinate preventative maintenance tasks and inspections to improve plant reliability
- A high standard of health and safety
- Ability to ensure the compliance needs of all outside authorities are met
- Experience in the marine industry and computer literacy an advantage
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and relationship management
As an Area Maintenance Engineer, your day could have you working at any of our aquaculture sea farm sites, based in the beautiful Marlborough sounds, or from our Picton workshop. Therefore, being comfortable out on the water is a must!
