This role is with a major government client who are tasked with looking after national planned maintenance and improvement projects.

This role would require you to work with contractors, consultants and council to ensure pre contract deliverables are understood in terms of design, planning, implementation and delivery. You will also be monitoring contracts in terms of costs, budgets, programme delivery, performance and timeliness. You will need to be able to understand the construction process, 3910, 3915 the NZ build environment and construction programmes. The kind of work involves multiple projects streams, levelling, modifications, retaining walls, working with properties that have had lack of maintenance over a long time and have degraded, reclads, interiors, works that have triggered consent. Project budgets range between $50K - $200K

To be a success in this role you come from a background within construction intially, 3 - 5 years experience in trades/tertiary, but with experience and knowledge of running projects. You have sound knowledge of 3910/3915 standard and PRINCE 2. You need to be comfortable in stakeholder management and confident to be able to deliver.

Most importantly is your communication and relationship building skills with clients, you possess sound organisational skills, commercial awareness and ability to drive process and ensure project outcomes are met. You also need to be able to work within well defined systems for ensuring accountability for spending tax payer dollars.

Salary: $85K - $105K, depending on experience
