You will be a dynamic person, interested in understanding the entire business, and how finance can support the business - operations and aggressive growth. You will take pride in not only a well run and efficient finance department but also enabling the business leaders to make well informed decisions based on the quality of insights and commentary provided in all reporting. You'll also be prepared to assist your team when time critical tasks needs completing.
The business is in a very exciting growth phase and requires a strong Management Accountant to define the external and internal stakeholder reporting, tightly manage all financial and operational metrics, while running high volume AP/AR/Credit control functions.
The successful applicant will have proven track record in running all aspects of a finance department for a business with an international supply chain and significant experience in working with senior management teams and providing board and other external stakeholder reporting.
Reporting directly to the CEO,this role provides great growth opportunities for someone looking to develop towards CFO.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Full Balance Sheet, P&L and Cashflow analysis, insights and reporting
- Scenario planning and modelling to inform/lead key business decisions
- Support CEO in strategic decision making
Finance functions
- Invoicing, AP/AR/Credit Control
- Wages, FBT, GST
- Cashflow management
- Continual improvement in finance processes
Business Operations Support
- Margin analysis and improvement
- Inventory value analysis
Reporting
- P&L/Balance Sheet reporting and analysis
- Cash Flow projections
- Business and divisional budgeting, tracking and forward projections
- Management and tracking of other key metrics in the business
Skills and experience
10+ years running all aspects of a finance department
Reporting to Cx, boards and financial institutions
Experience with international supply chains
Retail or apparel experience preferable
Advanced excel ability
Strong communicator at all levels of the organisation
Highly organised
Strong team leadership and people management skills
