We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to join our project team in Auckland.
As the Construction Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure appropriate operational, functional and management control processes are in place to achieve project objectives;
- Lead and guide the Project Managers to complete assigned projects in accordance with the contractual documentation, company standards and procedures, including supervising project activities;
- Develop relationships aimed at opportunities to tender works and develop strategies to win on all tenders/ quotes;
- Contribute to the establishment of strategic partners to secure and leverage advantages in new work opportunities;
- Ensure construction activities meet budget requirements and adherence to cost controls;
- Identify key strategic resources required to achieve the business plan.
Whilst technical experience is of importance to us, to be considered for our talent pool and future positions, you will have:
- Bachelor of Engineering or similar Degree qualifications e.g. Project Management or Commercial would be preferable;
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the construction and engineering industry;
- Minimum five years' acting in a Project Management capacity with experience across a broad spectrum of civil disciplines with proven commercial, contractual and human resources management skills;
- Extensive commercial and contract management experience in the delivery of Projects;
- Proven track record of project management, strong client relationships through excellence in quality service delivery and financial management;
- Demonstrable experience in work winning, delivery and repeat business strategies;
- Proven track record of improved client relationships through successful project delivery.
