An excellent opportunity has arisen within my clients senior management team. They are looking for a Commercial Manager to join their busy Waikato operation.
The Commercial Manager’s primary function will be to develop and implement a short and long term commercial strategy that is in line with the organisations vision and will help achieve the overall business goals. You will also research possible new revenue streams of business and have overall responsibility for the organisations brand management and corporate identity. Your excellent business acumen will also be needed to analyse possible construction contracts for any legal and/or compliance risks.
To be successful in the role you will need:
- 10 years’ experience in a Quantity Survey, Project Management or Commercial position
- 3 years’ management experience
- 5 years’ experience working in the commercial construction industry
In addition, you will need
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Quantity Survey or Project Management
- Ability to travel regularly
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret and develop statistical reports and calculations
- Excellent knowledge of NZ Construction laws and requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to accurately manage budgets, identify variance and potential financial risks
