The company is currently in an exciting growth stage and is seeking to employ a suitably experienced Contracts Manager, to join their expanding team.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Oversees and manages the detailing team
- Serve as a direct link between Detailers, Project Managers, other production departments, customer, and contractors
- Reviews design drawings for accuracy and completeness, and coordinates resolution of discrepancies and/or missing information with involved parties
- Trains and instructs appropriate staff employees the standards and codes of reinforcing steel design
- Produces reports and plans to management relating to the progress of each project
Ideally, the person being sought will have:
- A Civil Engineering Degree or Diploma
- Extensive experience within the reinforcing steel industry.
- Experience in reading and interpretation of architectural and structural drawings.
- Experience in consulting with engineers and construction managers.
- Knowledge of reinforcing steel and reinforced concrete methods.
- An excellent written and spoken command of the English language with an excellent ability to communicate on all levels.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- A well-developed customer service ethic.
