About Intergroup:
InterGroup Limited are New Zealand's Infrastructure and Industrial Services specialists with 35 years of experience in servicing local government authorities, state owned enterprises and small and large private contractors. We cover everything from pipeline inspection and repair, drainage maintenance, hydroextraction. liquid waste management, specialist industrial and marine services, abrasive blasting, high pressure water-jetting and more. We also deliver a variety of industrial services on various offshore oil facilities in the Maari and Tui oil fields.
About the job:
Reporting to the National Operations Manager, your primary focus will be ensuring the smooth running of our Coatings division nationwide. With sites in Auckland, New Plymouth, Christchurch, Nelson and Kawerau you'll need to travel, though we embrace new technology, meaning that many of your meetings can be held from afar. You'll be based in Auckland, and you'll have strong management and commercial/industrial coatings experience with a proven ability to grow the business. With great commercial skills, interpreting claims and construction contracts will be second nature, and you're no foreigner to I.E. 3910 and estimating. With a $10m per annum business, there is plenty of scope to grow - and grow we will with the right person.
What you need:
The successful applicant will be a highly motivated individual with a few years' management experience under their belt.
To be considered suitable for this position, you'll need:
- Minimum 3 years' management experience in a similar role within the commercial and industrial coatings industry
- At least 7 years' experience working in the technical ability coatings industry
- Competent commercial skills - be able to understand claims, construction contracts, I.E 3910 and estimating
- Sales/business development capability and experience
- Robust knowledge of operations/contract management including, planning, reporting, performance monitoring and evaluating
- An understanding of wider business environment that Intergroup operates in
- Ability to create, communicate and gain buy-in for a vision
- Ability to stimulate and empower innovation
- Excellent organisational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Reporting skills
- Communication and networking skills
- Ability to identify strategic opportunities and emerging issues
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills
- High professional integrity
