About the role
We are therefore looking to identify an experienced Accountant who can join the team and step up into a role where you will be reviewing the work of other staff, coaching and mentoring junior staff, whilst gaining direct involvement with a range of clients over a short period of time. You will be supporting a predominantly rural client base.
We ideally see this role suiting a CA qualified Accountant or someone studying towards becoming CA qualified, who has already established themselves in an agribusiness accounting & advisory services role. You will need to be a strong communicator and understand that accounting is not just about numbers, but to act as a trusted advisor to the whole of your client's business.
Beyond the technical requirements we are looking for candidates who are ambitious and proactive in developing their careers, and who can demonstrate interpersonal skills in being able to supervise the work of other staff and manage client relationships.
Requirements
CA Qualified (or studying towards)
Solid knowledge of small business tax and compliance work.
Previous knowledge of agribusiness accounting and advisory services.
Good technical knowledge including tax and financial reporting.
Good understanding of accountancy packages.
Strong accuracy and high attention to detail.
High level of computer skills.
Desirable
Management experience.
