The company & the role:
Representing multiple business units and with strong brand recognition, this is a formidable and exciting business to be part of. Working closely with the directors and the senior management team, this role has the benefit of being very strategic but with a hands-on component.
Well supported but with broad ranging responsibilities, this will suit someone who loves to roll up their sleeves and get amongst the action. Not for the faint hearted maybe; but extremely rewarding all the same.
The nuts and bolts of the role will include:
- Cashflow management and reporting
- Inventory control and analysis
- Internal audit and reviews
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Control of P&L and balance sheet
- Key liaison with external stakeholders
- Managing supplier relationships and contracts
- Staff management, mentoring and development
- Systems and process improvement
Skills & experience:
- A strong understanding of the accounting fundamentals
- Exposure to financial and management accounting
- Good systems knowledge
- Cash flow management and possibly treasury experience
- The skills to lead, mentor and motivate accounting and administration staff
- Communication skills to work across the business
