Based at their National Headquarters in Palmerston North, Toyota New Zealand currently have a vacancy for a Corporate Account Manager.  Reporting directly to the Manager – Used Vehicles, this role will see you responsible for fleet/rental and non-franchise dealer used vehicle sales.  Our ideal candidate is someone who really thrives on meeting with customers face-to-face.  You will need to quickly understand the needs of our customers and be confident in your ability to build and nurture strong business relationships around this.  Commitment to exceptional customer service goes without saying at Toyota New Zealand.  You will be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and ideally have a proven track record of generating business in a similar position. Extensive travel around New Zealand is required as part of this role so the ability to travel is a must.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Growing our existing client base and gaining new customer business
  • Forming long term business partnerships
  • Understanding our customer’s needs and how we can help them
  • Market analysis
  • Providing sales reports to management
  • Travelling throughout New Zealand

  • Previous automotive retail/fleet sales experience (highly desirable)
  • The ability to cold call clients in order to generate new business
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • To be self-motivated and results focused
  • The ability to build and nurture strong business relationships
  • The ability to provide market insight and solutions to clients
  • To be computer savvy (Microsoft Excel, Word)
  • Excellent English – both written and verbal
  • The curiosity and willingness to learn
