As New Zealand's only 100% farmer owned red meat co-operative, our aim is to maximise returns to our committed farmer shareholders and support them to operate profitable and sustainable farms.

We have a great opportunity for a driven Business Development leader to cover the Southland region where you will be able to showcase your passion for agriculture and your focus on delivering value to our shareholders while working closely with our wider Livestock team.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills along with an ability to deliver on agreed livestock volume and margin targets supported by new business development strategies. Aligning business development strategies across the broader livestock team and supporting activity to grow volumes and value in other regions is integral to the role.

Responsibilities include:

o Growing the Alliance Group's share of targeted livestock categories.
o Expand and strengthen the Alliance shareholder and supplier network.
o Strengthen shareholder engagement and loyalty.
o Contribute to the development and execution of medium and long procurement strategies.

This role will allow you to showcase your relationship building and agricultural knowledge and is well suited if you have a proven track record in an agricultural service environment focused on business growth.
