Dickie Direct Fertiliser have been operating for the last four years and aim to be the lowest cost supplier of enhanced-efficiency and conventional fertilisers in the New Zealand market. They supply premium quality products and offer farmers/businesses savings through their proactive and lean approach to both more efficient products and a highly efficient supply chain. The business model has been further optimised by Dickie Direct’s active relationships with independent consultants, environmental planning professionals and the seamless delivery and application of fertiliser orders.
Fuelled off the back of significant growth there is now an exciting opportunity for a Sales/Efficiency Manager to join the business to enable the owner to concentrate on the nutrient sourcing side of the operation. This is not a typical fertiliser sales role; with large scope you will be handed the responsibility for the sales and customer management and you will play a key role in the efficiency of the supply chain in this innovative and fast moving business.
Utilising proven sales experience you will be initiating contact with prospective customers through diverse sales channels, proactively contacting existing customers ensuring they are kept up to date with current product offerings and working alongside the network of independent professionals. Your exceptional customer service skills and ability to build relationships will allow you to convert sales through matching customer nutrient requirements with the most cost-effective product blends. You will be responsible for keeping stock moving efficiently through the supply chain and helping customers maximise savings with the forward ordering and forecasting process.
This role will suit a well networked agribusiness individual who is self-motivated and who values long term relationships. Dickie Direct will invest in further developing your expertise in this field; yet seeks to appoint the right person to this position based on personality and sales skills that will align with their brand. Sound computer software knowledge will enable you to learn the CRM system and manage all customer data and information.
Ultimately the role will be based in Hawke’s Bay, yet consideration will be given to an outstanding applicant wishing to be located outside of the region. The remuneration package will be in line with the appointee’s skills and experience and will include salary, vehicle and a bonus component.
