Our client is a supplier of building products, representing some of the biggest names within their industry.  They are looking for a Territory Manager to take their products to the market, they offer a range of waterproofing and roofing products backed with an exceptional quality guarantee.
  
Your patch will cover the south of the South Island (Dunedin, Wanaka, Invercargill) and you will be responsible for implementing and executing the company’s business strategy to their customer base to deliver on sales targets. However, you will be given the autonomy to run your territory as your business; there will be no hand holding, so you must be confident in your ability.  With this, you can operate anywhere in the region, as you will be given a home-based office.
  
Although you will be maximising spend with the existing customer base, you will be responsible for developing new business in your region and growing the portfolio of clients.  Therefore, you must possess the ability to successfully manage current clients while actively calling on new potential customers, via identifying sales opportunities and cold calling.
  
You will be predominantly working with licensed applicators, builders and architects.  Needless to say, you will be an effective communicator, somebody who shows initiative and drive.  But in terms of experience you must be proven in sales and be adept with reading engineering drawings, preparing quotes and presenting technical information.
  
This role presents a great opportunity for someone who wants to own and become the marshal of their territory.  My client also offers a very competitive package- base salary up to $85k + 10% bonus + vehicle.
