Nissan New Zealand is one of the largest selling Japanese vehicle brands in New Zealand and operates as a regional business unit (RBU) of Nissan Australia. As an importer and distributor of Nissan vehicles, NNZ’s primary distribution channel is through a dealer network throughout the North and South islands of New Zealand. Career opportunities with Nissan New Zealand are primarily customer facing roles and range across sales, marketing and management.

Introduction to role:

This Corporate Business Manager role is responsible for identifying opportunities in the New Zealand corporate fleet, lease & rental market and achieving sales volume targets in line with Nissan New Zealand’s budgeted market share levels.

You will have an ability to build & maintain relationships with Nissan Dealers and Fleet / Lease /rental companies ensuring maximum brand performance is achieved by all fleet and lease businesses using operational benchmarks, monitoring the National Market and engaging with current and potential clients, ensuring the Nissan Brand is identified as a preferred option on every possible occasion. The role will include some domestic travel.

Specific actions include the design and implementation of operational processes, transactional sales based skills & competencies that drive the achievement of sales targets and selected KPI's to achieve budget objectives.

As the successful candidate, your key responsibilities would be to:

  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships across the business both internally and externally.
  • Ensure business plans are developed cohesively, roadblocks are identified and addressed in a proactive and collaborative manner to optimise business and sales performance.
  • Develop effective Nissan New Zealand (NNZ) sales initiatives that deliver both short term sales volume and enhance long term brand loyalty.
  • Develop and execute business plans with the dealer network and Fleet / Lease companies that deliver sustainable results across a range of operational benchmarks.
  • Analyse business performance including: sales performance - within PMA by business , model line penetration, competitor segment opportunities, localised advertising & promotion, new product events etc.
  • Be an active participant in business improvement programs to significantly improve operations and sales execution, drive organisational performance and support "whole of business" objectives.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will:

  • Previous head office experience in a high performing automotive sales and marketing organisation (Retail & or Wholesale) with a focus on business planning and sales execution.
  • Display strong sales, business development planning experience and attributable results. .
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills teamed with decision making and ability to meet deadlines month in month out.
  • Have exceptional problem solving and lateral thinking skills with strong customer focus.
  • Demonstrable coaching skills – leading and aligning multiple stakeholders through a changing environment.
